Summer 2010 Continued....

Still working on getting the hang of how these things look before there posted. Here are some more pictures from last summer.

Summer 2010

We had a great summer last year! We spent some time at my father's lake house near Charlotte. Reese was a bit nervous at first... I think she thought we would leave her there.... but eventually she loved it. Her first boat ride went pretty well. She wasn't too sure about it at first, but was not going to be left behind so followed us onto the boat with a bit of trepidation. Once we got moving she loved it! Not much of a water dog but that's OK with me. Ode d'swamp dog is not my favorite fragerance.

Buddies

It took Reese a little while before she trusted Sam to not try to pull anything or hurt her. But now they are best buds. Which is makes us so very happy. That's exactly what we were looking for in a dog.

Reese is sometimes allowed on the couch/beds. But only if she's invited by one of use. Here she and Sam are watching some TV. This is one of my favorite pictures even though it's a little bit dark and Reese blends into our blue couch a bit. It still warms my heart!
Hugs for his girl!

Playing doctor

Reese lets Sam play doctor with her. He knows to be very gentle. Here he is looking in her ears. His doctor always says that Elmo is in his ear so this is what he tells Reese too. It's pretty darn cute if I do say so myself!
Now he's listening to her heart. She's such a good girl!

After Work in the Front Yard

One of our favorite things to do after work is to go outside and play. This was a nice day, but even when it's hot, Reese prefers to be with us outside.
Where'd they go?
Reese loves her daddy very much!
Here is how she "plays". Reese doesn't have much play drive. I don't think I've evern seen her with a toy in her mouth. She doesn't play tug of war or fetch. But that's OK. With so many kid toys around our house it's nice to know she won't bother them.
This is Reese's spot in our downstairs. She most often can be found here or by one of the vents in the floor.
